Digital vouchers: campaigns that bring in new customers and keep them coming back

Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas, New Year's Eve: every season is a chance to bring people to your counter. With Stampino vouchers you create the campaign in your admin panel, generate the codes and hand them out wherever your customers are: in the delivery bag, on flyers, in your shop window or in an Instagram ad.

The customer adds the voucher in the Stampino app and gets stamps on their loyalty card or a reward they collect at the counter. If they didn't have your card yet, it comes with the voucher, so a new customer joins your loyalty program straight away.

The 40-second clip shows the whole journey, from campaign to customer. Vouchers are included in the Standard, Premium and Lite Plus plans.

What a Stampino voucher is

A voucher is a code the customer adds in the Stampino app: with the phone's camera, by typing the code, or straight from a notification. Each campaign is one offer: what the customer gets, the title and description, the dates and the limits.

A voucher can give one of two things:

  • Stamps or points on the loyalty card. They land as soon as the customer adds the voucher, with no trip to the counter. If the card is full, the voucher waits in the app until they collect their reward.
  • A reward you choose, such as a burger or a coffee on the house. You describe it in the voucher, the customer shows it at the counter, and the cashier scans the voucher in the app and hands it over.

A customer who didn't have your card gets it together with the voucher. A good campaign therefore brings new customers straight into your loyalty program, not just a single visit.

Three ways to hand out vouchers

The first choice in a new campaign is how the voucher reaches customers:

  • Unique codes, one with every order. You put a code in every delivery bag, on the receipt or in every takeaway order, and the customer gets stamps or a reward with each order.
  • Unique codes, once per customer. For flyers at an event, a welcome pack or a gift through partners: each customer takes part once, even if they receive several codes from the same campaign.
  • One shared code for everyone. A single code, with a link and a QR, that you put in an Instagram or Facebook post, on the poster in your window, in a newsletter or on WhatsApp. Each customer adds it once, and you choose how many can get it, from 1 to 100,000.

Each unique code can be added only once, so a code that is copied or photographed can't be used twice.

How to create a campaign, step by step

Everything happens in the Stampino admin panel, right in your browser, or in the Stampino app with your business account.

1. Open Vouchers and tap New campaign

Start from scratch or from a ready-made example: Halloween, Christmas, online orders, or flyers and Instagram ads. You check it, adjust it and create it.

2. Choose how the voucher reaches customers

Unique codes, with every order or once per customer, or one shared code for everyone.

3. Choose what it gives

Stamps or points on one of your offers, or a reward you choose.

4. Write the title and description

For example "Your Christmas gift" and "Show this voucher at the counter and get a free burger." You also pick the voucher's icon; until you do, your logo is shown.

5. Set the dates and limits

Until when customers can add the voucher, and how long they can use it after that: until the same date, a number of days from when they add it, until a later date, or with no limit.

6. Generate the codes and download the materials

Generate up to 500 codes at a time and download a print-ready PDF: cards with your logo, the voucher's title and the QR code, in four templates, or just the QR codes, at the size you choose. Lay them out on A4 sheets with cut lines, or one per page.

How the voucher reaches the customer's phone

The customer has three options, and none of them asks for an account or a password:

  • Scan the QR code with the phone's camera, and the voucher opens straight in Stampino. Without the app, the QR takes them to the App Store or Google Play, and the voucher is waiting once it's installed.
  • Type the code in the app, under Add voucher.
  • Get it in a push notification from you: you attach the shared code to the notification, and the customer adds it with a single button, Add the voucher.

Stamps and points land on the card instantly. For a reward, the customer shows the voucher at the counter and the cashier scans it with a phone, just like any Stampino card.

Vouchers in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet

On the Lite Plus plan, vouchers go straight into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, with no app and no account. The customer scans the voucher's QR code with the phone's camera, a page with your offer opens, and from there they add it to their wallet with one tap.

  • A reward voucher becomes a pass of its own in Wallet, with your logo and a QR code. At the counter the cashier scans it like any Stampino card, and Wallet then shows it as used, with the date.
  • A stamp voucher puts the stamps straight on the loyalty card in Wallet. A customer who didn't have your card gets it along with the voucher.

If you pause or end the campaign, the voucher in Wallet updates by itself. The clip shows the whole journey, from the Stampino panel to the customer's wallet.

Printed vouchers, usable without the app too

Not every customer wants to install an app for a single gift. For them there is the Can be used without the app option: the customer shows the printed voucher at the counter, and the cashier scans the code on the paper and hands over the reward on the spot.

Each code works once, whether it was added in the app or used on paper, and adding it in the app stays optional. The option is available for vouchers that give a reward with unique codes for every order, and you turn it on or off at any time from the campaign's page.

The printed code is scanned from the Stampino app or the web panel, and if you have the POS integration, right from your till. The stats show separately how many codes were used without the app.

A voucher used on paper doesn't put your card on the customer's phone. That's why adding it in the app remains the option that brings you customers you can invite back with a notification.

What the stats show

For each campaign you see, in real time:

  • How many vouchers were added and how many were used, including how many without the app.
  • How many new customers it brought: customers who didn't have your card and got it with the voucher.
  • How many of them are new to Stampino, meaning they installed the app for your voucher.
  • The status of every code: unused, added or used, with the date.

A campaign can be paused, resumed or ended at any time. That way you can compare an Instagram ad with the flyers in your deliveries and know where your next budget should go.

Frequently asked questions

Which plans include vouchers?

The Standard, Premium and Lite Plus plans. Standard and Lite Plus include 500 generated codes a month for each location, and Premium 1,000. A shared code counts as one code, however many customers add it. If you need more, write to us.

See all plans
Does the customer need the Stampino app?

On Standard and Premium, to add the voucher, yes. The app is free and asks for no account or password, and if the customer scans the QR without it, they land in the App Store or Google Play and the voucher is waiting after installation. The exception is reward vouchers with the Can be used without the app option turned on: there the cashier scans the printed code directly. On Lite Plus they don't: the voucher goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Can I use vouchers on the Lite plans, with the card only in Wallet?

Yes, on Lite Plus. Customers add the voucher straight to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, with no app, and the cashier scans it at the counter like any Stampino card. The Lite plan doesn't include vouchers.

Can a code be used twice?

No. Each unique code can be added once, and a shared code once per customer, up to the maximum number of recipients you set. A voucher that has been used can't be used again.

Can I print the vouchers myself?

Yes. From the panel you download a print-ready PDF, with cards that carry your logo or just the QR codes, on A4 sheets with cut lines or one per page. Print them at any print shop or on your office printer.

Can I change or stop a campaign after launch?

Yes. The texts and dates can be edited, and customers who already added the voucher see the changes. The validity of vouchers already added can only be extended. A campaign can be paused, resumed or ended at any time.
